You………..
Even a matter of no sense makes sense when it comes from You!
One Hi from You makes my pain go away n makes me feel all well!
When I close my eyes I can see your smiling face
I can hear your laughter and feel the tingling sensation when You touch!
The way You look at me makes me feel so precious and special
That no diamonds could ever do!
All this is only because it comes from You!
If I wana fly, You become my wings..
If I wana cry You b there to hold me
If I wana see, You become my eyes
If I wana live.. You become my life
You gave my life a new meaning..
You gave my life a new dimension
Amidst all hazels and confusion..
My life became more beautiful just coz of You..
Let me be your inspiration
Let me be your imagination!
Mould me the way You want
And name me as your creation!
I dunno what You saw in me..but what I saw in You is rare!
The bond we share is priceless and beyond compare!
Doesn’t matter what others think of You
Doesn’t matter whether they approve of You or not!
Ull find me next to You always
Supporting You like a rock!
They wont understand what we share
And I really don’t seem to care!
I have waited for You for so long
Now losing You for anybody..I just wouldn’t dare!!

Yesterday saw an episode of “Ek Packet Umeed” and was left disturbed...This serial always highlights on current issues…and this time on the occasion of holi it focused on ”group molestation” The girl in this serial was molested by a gang just because she had slapped one of the goons for forcefully playing holi with her.. Seeing that episode I remembered immediately the Gateway of India and the J.W.Marriot incidents. I could never understand what kind of pleasure could anyone derive by demeaning someone...In the serial, her friends decided to stand for her and fight against what happened...How many of us do that in real life??
I still remember vividly …I was returning from my classes one evening with a friend. When a man while passing by squeezed my breast, before I could realize what had happened he crossed the road and ran. I tried running behind him shouting at the crowd to stop him but no one helped. When my friend asked me what happened I was too embarrassed to tell her what had happened. When he turned behind and winked flashing a sleazy smile. I felt so dirty and ashamed of my self. Even though it was a small incident but I felt my privacy was violated. I cried uncontrollably for the whole night. Next day after much prodding I shared the incident with my dear friend she told me ‘Snap out of it ok!!Fine something bad happened with you..so what?? Don’t expect any sympathies from me coz im not going to give any to those who choose to be a victim’She told me its not just me, it is faced by almost every woman at one point of their life..and instead of feeling vulnerable and asking for other’s support one should fight back…
She told me the horrifying truth that she was molested by her uncle since childhood, she didn’t knew what was happening or why he was doing like this but she used to feel dirty and blame herself for that. Her uncle used to threaten her warning her not to open her mouth in front of any one. One day when she couldn’t take it any more, she decided to stand up for herself. She told her parents about her suffering of 11 years and they were shocked to the core. Her dad confronted her uncle and later on it was found that he used to molest his own daughter as well…He was thrown out of the family and even his wife abandoned him but not before my friend slapped him hard and said “NO MORE” She told me for years she tortured herself thinking some how it was her fault...She blamed god for making her so weak and helpless. but the person to be blamed was her uncle and not her for being so sick. It was he who was weak and needed to conduct such cheap act on kids to prove his masculinity to himself...That’s cowardice beyond words... Such incidents can never be forgotten but she is at peace with herself as she stood up and fought her own battle...
That made me change my attitude. I used to think why me… but when I heard what happened with her and how she stood against it...I decided no matter what ill never be a victim again... Very soon I faced another incident where my courage was tested...
I was crossing the road when some one slapped me hard from behind. When I turned around I saw a guy in the rickshaw making obscene gestures at me. My friends said” leave it...he is a creep...” but I knew what to do...I ran behind the rickshaw asking the rickshawalla to stop the vehicle...luckily the rickshaw had to stop at the signal...I came near the rickshaw and started pulling out the guy he was so scared that he was trying to jump out from the other side..I tried pulling him out of the rickshaw slapping him hard twice...the guy pleaded sorry and till then due to the commotion crowd was gathering...sensing trouble the rickshaw driver sped the rickshaw as soon as the signal was green... but not before I made sure the guy wouldn’t try to misbehave with any other girl from now on as I could see tears streaming down his face when the rickshaw fled across me.. At that time an elderly uncle came to me and said” Beta you didn’t have to be so violent... Gals aren’t supposed to behave so in public... Such things happen u can’t do anything about it... Before I could retort back a lady came up to him and said, “Wake up Mr... She just did..!”
If females are considered as weaker sex in the society...we females are also to be blamed for it...We are victimized because we choose to be a victim… Sometimes it is necessary to forget the physical difference created by god and focus on the mental strength and will power gifted by God to do what is right...I am not saying that violence is the solution for all the problem…But suffering in silence is definitely not.. Unless we voice our objection... nothings going to change... Is it easy??No it isn’t.. it requires huge guts and courage...but who said anything in life comes easy...There are men who forget that females are more than sex objects, they are humans too…We might meet those kind of people in our life from time to time. We have the option of being a victim or we can fight back, I chose to do the latter... What would you choose??

A beautiful song...hope u guys will agree on the same.. :)
Day after day..time pass away
and I just can't get you off my mind
nobody knows.. I hide it inside
I keep on searching but I can't find
the courage is to show..To letting you know
I’ve never felt so much love before
and once again I’m thinkin' about...
takin' the easy way out
but if i let you go... i will never know
what my life would be.. holding you close to me
will I ever see.. You smiling back at me
how will I know.. If I let you go
Night after night.. I hear myself say
why can't this feeling just fade away
there's no one like you.. You speak to my heart
it's such a shame.. We’re worlds apart
I’m too shy to ask.. I’m too proud to lose
but sooner or later I’ve gotta choose
and once again I’m thinkin' about
taking the easy way out…
but if I let you go.. I will never know
what my life would be.. holding you close to me
will I ever see.. You smiling back at me
how will I know.. If I let you go..

A touch…A look… A smile…That’s all it takes …!!
Have you noticed:
The silence shared by 2 lovers holding hands dreaming about a beautiful future together
The unspoken trust in the eyes of a child walking for the 1st time towards his mom knowing she would never let him fall
The protective hand of a father around his child when he is trying to ride a cycle for the 1st time
The silent tears shed by 2 lovers biding final goodbye and choosing a path in opposite directions never to look back again
The pride reflected in the eyes of proud parents over the achievement of their children
The comforting hand kept on the head of the child by his parent when he hasn’t fared well in the academics, communicating to him silently the faith and expectations they have in him
The admiration shining in the eyes of the hundreds of fans when they see their favorite idol in front of them
The look of anticipation in the face of to-be dad waiting outside the labor room waiting for the news of wellbeing of his beloved and for the arrival of new treasure of love
The ecstatic look in the eyes of 1st time parents when looking at their new bundle of joy for the 1st time
The look of nervousness in the eyes of the guy who is about to propose or who is about to lose his single status
The heart wrenching silence before the answer for the declaration of love
The look of anxiety in the eyes of thousands or lakhs of watchers watching a nail biting finish of a cricket match
The look of contentment in the eyes of the older generation when they see the family photograph remembering their long eventful journey through life.
The flirtatious look passed between through strangers in a local transport
The secret messages communicated between the eyes of a couple in a get-together
A bear hug or a comforting hand on the shoulder at times of tragedy or trouble showing the unspoken support of our loved and cared ones around us
Daily missed call from our loved ones letting us know we are always remembered and loved for who we are
The hidden smiles shared by our friends over a secret joke which cannot be understood by an outsider
Hands folded in front of the Almighty as an act of surrendering our soul in his presence
The fluffy head of our pet on our lap as a comfort sensing our loneliness or sorrow or the furious wagging of tail or drooling of saliva all over our body as a sign of pleasure seeing us.
Last but not the least …how can we forget the famous phenomena of LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! ;)
These and many more minute gestures are a part of our day to day activities but being so busy and lost in the commotion around us we hardly tend to notice them..So we many times forget to acknowledge the impact of this powerful language which is inbuilt in us.. Best example would be the classic film ‘Pushpak’ where in a silent film was able to reach the audience more than any film with lengthy dialogues and numerous songs could. A single gesture like this can express itself more than any words could..A language which is never taught to us but understood by all who may be 2-legged or four…So why not appreciate it a bit more ..Its high time we did…
A touch… A look… A smile… That’s all it takes to win a Heart
Love..

A&A Mania…
Yes… you guessed it right, the major event is the MARRIAGE OF “ASH & AB Jr” which has been hyped no less than a NATIONAL EVENT...Seeing the attention & importance given to this event, it would be no wonder if 20th April would be declared as a NATIONAL HOLIDAY, at least the working class will endure the pleasure of a looong weekend!!;) I hope this hype would end on 20th April & wouldn’t continue till the birth of their 1st baby..I really feel that latter can be a strong possibility!
Even though the marriage party has strictly declared it as a very Private event and is being very discreet about it..But our dear media people are working at their best, be it any news channel or paper..even the most minutest of details gathered from any tom, dick & harry, are being flashed from time to time, as if it’s a matter or life & death..I really can’t remember any event being received such huge coverage for days together be it the occurrence of chain of bomb blast in local trains in Mumbai some months ago or the 26th July fiasco for that sake! This proves that Abhishek & Aishwarya’s marriage is no less than a National event & surpasses any natural calamity or man created disaster..
Everyday newspaper is being filled by how simple and how environment friendly the marriage is going to be –No crackers, less number of invitees, less noise pollution & traffic jams..Thus making their marriage a DIVINE BOON to Mother Nature.. No hard feeling towards the BACHAN’s & RAIs, my best wishes are with them, but the question which flashes in my mind time again .. “Is this hype really worth the effort??” When the bride & bride grooms family has announced that they want the event to be a private affair, why can’t their wishes be respected for once..
Frankly, I can never imagine being so crazy about what my favourite star is wearing for the occasion, what’s the design of their wedding card, who will dance & who will not in their wedding who will apply mehndi or who will be the caterers…and the list goes on.. I wonder whether the news people were so inquisitive of these minute details even in their own marriage! Barring a few people who might be crazy to know how these starlets elope..Would a comman man waste his only time of relaxation, after taxing their brains in the office for the whole day, to know who would do the hairstyle of Aishwarya and Abhishek??I guess the answer is NO
So dear media, please stop creating this unwanted hype & let the BACHAN’s & RAI’s celebrate this beautiful event the way they want to & give us a break from this monotonity by providing us with information which would be valuable, worthwhile & worth remembering…
LOVE

Finding My Mr. Right...
Yeah Mr. Right!! In every girl’s life this person has to enter at some point, when & how that differs.. But before that, one has to go through an array of Mr. Wrongs who are certified as gr8 guys by our dear parents, family, relatives & friends…Going through that is really frustrating and a funny experience!! How would I know of it?? ‘Coz I’m in that phase right now! As I couldn’t find a decent guy for myself since last 25 yrs, now my parents are doing the honours..:d & i'm going through the torture!!
But seriously, i’m yet to know how will I know HE is the ONE by just looking at his photo or by meeting or talking to him...Is a mere liking enough for one to decide on spending your entire life with eachother for better or for worst, in sickness or in health?? Will there be a lightning/thunder/rain when I meet my guy or will there be what they say” Ringing of bells or shehnaai in my ears” Frankly…I HAVE NO CLUE..
Thinking, a lil bit of research would help me…I asked my mom, why she said yes to dad and her answer was”U Crazy Wild Horse (that’s what she calls me), kuch bhi poochti hain.. There was no such thing as saying yes or no for a girl in our times; it was fixed by our elders...” I was like :o NOWAYS! Now I wouldn’t accept that route :d so I asked my Di the same question and she said,” I don’t know..but something felt right the moment she saw him…she just knew it after talking to him. So don’t worry, u'll just know!!” Now that confused me even more… But after listening to all this & heavy amount of coaxing from my family & married friends on my 25th Birthday I decided to step into the category of “Single & Ready to marry”
And guess what I even got a proposal (man where were these guys when I myself was looking out!) Our Kundli matched, his family was good and after talking to the guy came to know even he was just perfect! But even after all these positive signs...I just couldn’t say YES! After talking with the guy for 40 mins, I realized 4 things:
1. I talk a lot
2. I’m not ready to settle down yet.
3. I don’t need a PERFECT guy
4. My Di was RIGHT AS USUAL!
I used to have a long list of what I didn’t want in a guy-No curly hair, No beard or moustache, no Bad habits-smoking, drinking, etc, and the list goes on… But now I just laugh at my silliness...Though I would be still adamant on the bad habits part, after this small incident I realized if he is the one even his imperfections or shortcomings become endearing...
So, whether I like it or not, one day I would have to lose my spinsterhood & also other benefits attached to it...but till then I will enjoy my freedom to the fullest, leaving Mr. Cupid to the task of searching My Mr. Right & bringing him to me, as I’m too lazy to put that effort ;)
Till then the trial & error continues…………

School Life...The only Life...
a glimpse of the bygone days...
as the past flickers by...
as moments turn to memories...
magical mesmerising mystical memories etched in my heart...
daily dose of jugguja... :-p
water (and food!) fights... :-)
our reserved table in the library...B-)
the drum beats, the march past...
the Christmas bash...coloured hair...
santa caps...:-p
*sigh*
Standing on the threshold of life...
old spirits surround me...
comforting, familiar, encouraging,
sympathising, enlightening, ever present...
...As the past trails behind...
every red brick with a tale of its own...
each chime of the bell writing history...
Clinging to these very uniforms...
a journey from childhood to adolescence...
a mystery in itself...
As bits & pieces collected over the years are refreshed...
a collage of love & hate...
experiencing a bitter sweet contrast of pleasure and pain...
And yes there is a vast expanse...
with vistas unexplored...
Though there is beauty in age...
by comparison with the beauty of childhood it is nothing...
For many...this is merely 'school life'...
for me it is simply 'LIFE' :- )
The years spent here,
the tears, the smiles, the laughter...
I'll breathe their presence...
...ever after
Good ol' school days...
*sob sob* :-(

1st Love...
It was like an enchanting dream, My life was flowing in a beautiful valley like a stream.. I always believed in fairy tales & prince charming, But was a fool to think my love would have a happy ending..
Here We Are……………
It was Monday Afternoon, had got nothing to do, So asked my Pranku, “Ab kya karey bheedu?”
Then she told me we will be writing what comes to our mind
There is no reason for others to mind!!
We are doing it just for fun sake
Hmmm hO hmMm...
Two strangers...two completely different worlds...almost two generations (Shukku is old enough to have a kid & i'm young enough to pass as one!! Am oh so dead after Shukku reads this :-!...please purchase nice white clothes for my funeral!! )...two computers...orkut...a common friend...& BHOOOM!!...a clash of two whacked out weirdos...like two sparking wires in a thunderstorm!! :-D
Soul sisters from a celestial dimension far beyond milkyway (umm...atleast on a mental plane!)...separated during an inter-planetary collision (nothing less than our very own desi 'Kumbh ka mela!' ;-) )...Why the extra-terrestrial connection between two earthlings (err..ignoring our temporary fits of 'alien-ish' behaviour!)...Maybe because our existence in each other's lives has travelled from the virtual world (no no! we ain't angels from heaven or descendants of Satan :-o...am merely referring to d world of orkut..) to the so called 'real' world... :-)
"God gave us relatives, thank God we can chose our friends..." :-p
(Nowadays orkut ain't less than any holy entity! Orkut deva ki jai^:)^)
After yapping & jabbering on topics ranging from the most mundane (Zzz...) to the unmentionable (ahem!)...spending uncountable hours online (just a little short of our fingers falling off thanks to typing!), thousands of (s)craps, cursing yahoo as many (if not more!) times, blessing msn & gtalk for being our saviours in distress :-)...we are out to tread new ground...blogging!! This blog is a 'jugalbandi' of thoughts...a roller coaster ride of random rooobish (Geoffrey Boycott style;-) )...CHEERS!!! :-)
